Montana Idaho Log & Timber's sales office, a hand crafted, two-sided dovetail cabin, similar to our "Hideaway" plan, offers a unique and personal look at the most traditional "Pioneer-style" cabin.
As professional log and timber crafters, we realize the importance of reaching the highest standard of clientele satisfaction. We guarantee a positive and rewarding experience for our clients.
We carefully select Lodgepole pine, Engelmann spruce, Western larch and Douglas-fir logs of the highest quality to use in your home. We use dead standing logs that have passed several quality control checks and are TPI graded and stamped by a certified grader. We specialize in the use of larger diameter, full length, naturally tapering logs and will strive to select “character logs” to be placed in strategic places for an optimal appeal. Each log is hand hewn with a draw-knife finish to the degree of interest by the client, ranging from fully peeled, or a clean peel finish, to skip-peeled, to a full cambium layer left on the log.
Each handcrafted log or timber home is prebuilt at our construction facility to ensure that all hand scribed corner notching and all log and timber components fit perfectly. Each log or timber is then coded according to a set of plans, disassembled, and shipped to your site with the coded plans.
